Green Meadows Foods et Arla Foods ont annoncé leur partenariat pour développer de nouveaux produits à base de lactosérum. Suite à l'ouverture d'une nouvelle fromagerie pour Green Meadows Foods, Arla Foods devrait apporter son savoir faire et sa technologie pour transformer le lactosérum de la fromagerie et mettre ces produits sur le marché américain.
Arla Foods veut diminuer sa dépendance à l'égard des coopératives de collecte, son objectif principal est de collecter davantage de lait directement chez les producteurs. Ainsi Arla Foods compte couvrir 90% de ces besoins en lait, soit 200 millions de litres de lait.
Carrefour devrait très prochainement rebaptiser ces magasins en "Carrefour-market", afin de doper le chiffre d'affaires.
