Définition
 Fondé en 1989, ce consortium de plus de 300 entreprises du secteur informatique encourage le développement de standards permettant d'étendre les capacités d'accueil de périphériques des ordinateurs portables. Description
 Par extension, une carte PCMCIA est un périphérique au format carte de crédit (54mm x 85mm) doté d'un connecteur de 68 broches, permettant d'augmenter la mémoire de l'ordinateur (cartes de type I), de le connecter a un réseau (cartes de type II) ou a un disque dur (cartes de type III).
Aujourd'hui, PCMCIA n'étudie plus seulement les connections de périphériques aux ordinateurs portables, mais aussi aux appareils photo numériques, caméras et PDAs.

Try to get rid of all your cards before the computer does. Drag one card at a time from your hand at the bottom of the scren to one of the two discard piles in the middle of the screen. The value of the card you drag must be one greater or one less than the card you drop it on. The cards' suits do not matter.
You hold five cards in your hand at a time. Once you get rid of a card you must click on your ''next card'' pile to the left of your hand. If the computer gets stuck, the ''flip it'' card will appear. Click it to put new cards on the two discard piles. Remember the name of the game is ''Speed'' so move quickly !
