Définition de E-Sourcing  L'e-sourcing a pour but d'optimiser l'amont de l'achat en standardisant et automatisant le plus possible la recherche, la sélection et la négociation avec les fournisseurs. L'économie réalisée provient principalement de la diminution des coûts de négociation et de transaction.

Description de E-Sourcing  Aux USA, l'e-sourcing a provoqué une baisse moyenne de 14,3% des coûts globaux, une réduction de 50% des cycles d’achats, une réduction de 60% des coûts administratifs, une amélioration des délais de livraison, une amélioration de la qualité des produits et des services, une amélioration de la qualité de la relation avec les fournisseurs, une capacité accrue de négociation et de recherche de nouveaux fournisseurs et enfin une meilleure perception du rôle et de l’impact du service achat sur les performances globales de l’entreprise.
