Définition
 WebDAV signifie "Web-based Distributed Authoring and Versioning". C'est une extension du protocole HTTP et permet aux utilisateurs l'édition et la gestion de fichiers sur un serveur distant. Description
 WebDAV est un standard IETF qui fournit une alternative au protocole FTP pour l'échange de fichiers entre un client et un serveur Web distant. La publication est facilitée par un mécanisme de verrouillage, gestion de versions, ou encore la prise en charge de méta-données pour définir les documents.
